Happy Birthday Princess Lilibet. Only King Charles had a present for her, amid family feud

During the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, Princess Lilibet only had a single encounter with her grandfather King Charles; nonetheless, he made care to give her a birthday present.

Tom Quinn, a royal expert, reports that Princess Lilibet received a unique gift from King Charles on her third birthday today.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had a sizable birthday celebration at their Montecito, California, residence over the weekend. They invited close friends to the party, but because of the ongoing conflict within the Royal Family, many were noticeably missing.

Even though King Charles was not invited, he made sure to commemorate the event. He wrote his granddaughter a touching note and sent her a gift. Quinn disclosed, “King Charles sent a gift and a message because he didn’t want to ignore Lilibet’s birthday entirely.”

A unique gift that the king is saving until the day the family strife ends. “He hopes to give Lilibet something similar, but not this year,” he said. “He gave Prince George a gorgeous hand-made wooden swing with George’s name etched on it. Quinn clarified, “Not until the family feud dies down. Meghan has set clear boundaries on what can be accepted as a gift, so the king has been limited in his options.”

However, Lilibet’s party was attended by superstars including Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry. Instead of spending too much on gifts, Harry and Meghan decided to have a grand pre-birthday celebration, inviting plenty of well-known people to their California house. Perry and Bloom attended the celebration with their daughter Daisy, who is only a few months Lilibet’s senior.

Guests included Ellen DeGeneres, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Oprah Winfrey, who happen to be the couple’s neighbors. Notably, members of the Royal Family did not receive invitations. “Shockingly, no members of the Royal Family received invitations to Lilibet’s party,” Quinn remarked.
